Wooden worktops are the best value for finish relative to cost but they do require maintenance. They are a favourite with developers. There are many different timbers, from very light ones like Maple, Ash and Beech, to dark ones like Iroko and Walnut. Iroko and Teak are naturally oily timbers and handle the moisture better than most. I can fit what you have already or supply a top of your choice. It is very important that any untreated timber tops are kept sealed and laid flat to prevent warping during any storage time.
